RL Corporation Supports Hurricane Recovery Efforts
Matched Employee Contributions Bring Nearly $12,000 to Hurricane Victims
WEST CHESTER, PA - (October 6, 2005) - RL Corporation, parent company of Lordi Consulting and Peopleflex, leading suppliers of accounting and staffing services in Philadelphia, announced today employee contributions of nearly $12,000 to The Salvation Army to aid those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Each employee donation was matched by RL Corporation CEO John Rapchinski and Lordi Consulting Managing Principal Frank Lordi.
"Our hearts go out to the millions of people affected by Katrina and Rita," said Rapchinski. "It's in the face of such tragedy that we are humbled to see that the dedication our associates demonstrate to each other and our clients every day extends so much further, and we hope that their generosity and spirit of goodwill offers some respite to those who feel helpless in the wake of these horrific disasters."
RL Corporation encourages its 120 employees to participate in organized community service events each year. The company recently engaged in a bowling event which raised over $1,300 for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and also donated computer equipment to an employee's army unit prior to deployment to Iraq. In response to the devastating hurricanes that recently struck the Gulf coast, the company lifted its eligible contribution maximum and announced it would match any amount employees donated to support victims. Every $100 donation to the Salvation Army feeds a family of four for two days, provides two cases of drinking water, and a household clean-up kit, containing brooms, mops, buckets, and cleaning supplies.
